in your condition, the moon is in your skull

The vacation is going well i guess. My skin got really bad...but now it's healing again, I saw on 20/20 the other day about this women with a rare skin diease who adopted a daughter with the same condition and now she's making her own bandages because of all the skin infection outbreaks they have. I'm thinking maybe I should start doing that too except I wouldn't know how to make one myself. Other than that...not much going on. It's been weeks since I last saw JA and yet the after taste still lingers...been listening to recording. I think I appreicate the show more after a few more listen. and speaking of I miss Kim! we keep missing each other on AIM. =/

I've been hanging out with my best friends a lot these days, must say it's really nice to hang with them again. I'll miss them when we leave for college again...
Oh and I have found a new love...not that kind..but a new TV show! it's on HBO it's called Carnivale
I'm initially interested in the show for the whole 1920s Carnival theme. the show is amazingly deep in meaning and full of symbolism (mostly religious) It's kind of depressing but it's so addicting. It's not a happy show at all but the story grabs you from the beginning, it's full of mystery and supernatural phenomenon. In many ways I can totally see JA's songs as soundtrack for this show. The new season starts on Jan 9th. yay!

waking up at dawn, to find out i've lost my crown....

I feel like i've been on a rollercoaster for the past few weeks and for the past few days I've been in a coma. Finals are over yay! and JA show @ Bowery was mind blowing, utterly insipring, totally amazing. I can't stress enough how grateful I am my finals ended just in time for me to catch the show. It was the final show of the tour and with all my bus riding days this past 3 months I felt like I was part of that too, and now it's all coming to an end. I had such a great time seeing JA with Kim and watching JA works his magic at every show.
It was the longest JA I've been to in awhile, he played bunch of new songs, including a beautiful song about "oceans" and "atomsphere"
what if you
were always
running

and always come
back
to where
you've been

would you stop
and change directions
even if
it took you to the end?

He also did A smile that Explodes, which I don't think I've ever heard it live before beside from the recordings. Wasted like always, breaks my heart, I was however disappointed that he didn't play longer into the song like he did in the past, but it's just as beautiful. JA is such a sweetheart in the way he plays requested songs. I love the way he went " don't worry...I'll do Honey & the Moon" when people were calling out which I thought were a little rude, I only do that during encores.
Even tho and the new song about "you had to go back to the place that killed you" brought back some memories from the summer and from the show I saw in September, I was just thinking about how in awe I was when I first hear these songs. I absolutely love how raw and honest he is as an artist, there seems be no boundaries, espeically at live shows. Someone on the board was complaing that JA experiments too much live but that's why I love so much of him, he's not afraid to try new stuff right infront of his audience and even if it doesn't come out the way he wants to.
Oh I can write so much more about the show, but pictures are worth a thousand words..

Greg Comers (sp?) Both Kim and I were pleasantly suprised on how good he was. Definitly going to check him out. Posted by Hello

If you control it it's no fun, and it's fun if you've lost control

The week of madness has finally passed, and now comes the finals but I think I can handle that. So many things coming up to look forward too! JA has came out with a new EP called "and the Thieves are gone" Kim and I will also be attending his show at Bowery this up coming Thursday! I'm so grateful that my final will be ending on Wedesday instead of on Friday like the past two semesters. Then a month of doing nothing! well maybe seeing friends, and more awesome shows with Kim. yup just like our old wild days!

I've been listening to JA's Junkyard eps these days...I really want to hear JA's new stuff on the new ep, I love his eps, I think they're better than his albums. They're more raw and more experimental, like at his live shows. Speaking of...Hawksley show was amazing...I think he have the gift to raise everyone's spirit, his music and himself are so passionate and full of raw emtions, it really breaks your heart sometimes watching him sometimes. It's one of the few shows where I would totally lose control! LOL
